This starts with potting several cuttings around a moss stick or 1 to 13 cuttings in a pot without a moss stick. These cuttings come from our own culture. The moss sticks are made from coconut fiber that is stretched around a plastic tube. We use moss sticks with lengths varying between 80 cm and 150 cm. During growth, the cuttings, depending on the type of plant, are attached to the moss stick with binding wire or metal staples. By leading the cuttings evenly around the moss stick, a full-looking plant is the result. The plants can also attach themselves to the moss stick with aerial roots. Musa, Alocasia and Strelitzia are delivered rooted to us so that we plant them directly in the end pot. During cultivation they are set several times wider and for an optimal structure of the plant.
