A strong and well known Schefflera arboricola-race is “Compacta”. The Schefflera belong to the family of Araliaceae. This plant, that is also known as “Starleaf” or “Umbrella Tree”, finds its origin in Taiwan. It grows in higher areas. It needs less light than “Gold Capella”, its close relative.
Compacta” can stand being placed in temperate rooms, especially in the winter, but it likes a humid environment. It is necessary to avoid the soil becoming too moist, otherwise the roots might rot. During summertime, the plant may be placed outside.The plant is characterised by its green, hand-shaped leaves. “Compacta” doesn’t need much light.Care

Ideal temperature 16 to 18 degrees celsius, 12 to 16 degrees celsius during the winter, no temperatures below 12 degrees celsius.
